The core component of the Alpha Model 166 series differential pressure sensor/transmitter is a capacitive pressure sensor, which consists of a stainless steel diaphragm and a fixed electrode that form a capacitor with capacitance varying with pressure. Employing Alpha’s exclusive patented technology, the sensor and its dedicated detection circuit are carefully designed to deliver superior temperature performance and long-term stability.

The Alpha Model 166 differential pressure sensor/transmitter can measure
differential or gauge pressure and provides standard output options of
0–5V, 0–10V, and 4–20mA, with other outputs available for customization.
Its accuracy at room temperature is available in three grades: ±1.0%FS,
0.4%FS, or 0.25%FS. The device supports temperature compensation from
4 ℃ to 77 ℃, with a temperature effect limited to below ±0.05%FS/℃.
With
an excellent performance-to-price ratio, the Alpha Model 166 is widely
used in HVAC, environmental pollution control, clean engineering,
medical instruments and equipment, oven pressurization and furnace
pressure control, natural gas and pipeline network monitoring,
underground ventilation, power plant wind pressure monitoring, and other
related applications.
