The core component of the Alpha Model 168 series differential pressure sensor/transmitter is a capacitive pressure sensor, which comprises a stainless steel diaphragm and a fixed electrode that together form a capacitor with capacitance varying in response to pressure. By leveraging Alpha's proprietary patented technology, the sensor and its dedicated detection circuit are meticulously designed to ensure excellent temperature performance and long-term stability.

The Alpha Model 168 differential pressure sensor/transmitter can be used to measure both differential and gauge pressure. It offers standard output options of 0–5V, 0–10V, and 4–20mA, with other outputs available for customization. At room temperature, the device is available in three accuracy grades: ±1.0%FS, 0.4%FS, or 0.25%FS. It supports temperature compensation from 4 ℃ to 77 ℃, with a temperature effect maintained below ±0.05%FS/℃.
