The core component of the Alpha Model 178 series differential pressure sensor/transmitter is a capacitive pressure sensor, comprising a stainless steel diaphragm and a fixed electrode that together form a capacitor with capacitance varying under pressure. Utilizing Alpha's proprietary patented technology, the carefully designed sensor and its dedicated detection circuit ensure excellent temperature performance and long-term stability.

The Alpha Model 178 differential pressure sensor/transmitter can measure
both differential and gauge pressure, providing standard output options
of 0–5V, 0–10V, and 4–20mA, along with custom outputs upon request. Its
accuracy at room temperature is available in three grades: ±1.0%FS,
0.4%FS, or 0.25%FS. The device supports temperature compensation from
4 ℃ to 77 ℃, with temperature effects maintained below ±0.05%FS/℃.
Owing
to its outstanding performance-price ratio, the Alpha Model 178 is
widely used across multiple fields, including HVAC, environmental
pollution control, clean engineering, medical instruments and equipment,
oven pressurization and furnace pressure control, natural gas and
